The reaction to the death in hospital of the model Katy French (RIP) is only just starting in earnest today. Katy (24) died in hospital last night after being in a coma since the weekend when she became 'ill' at a house in County Meath.
After since her mystery illness there has been speculation that cocaine was involved. This has still to be confirmed.
It was disgusting to hear Gavin Lambe Murphy, one of our Irish "celebrities" who is famous for nothing, stepping over Katy Frenchs body to climb onto the anti-drugs bandwagon.
Apparently, Gavin Lambe Murphy and Katy French had a brief relationship a couple of years ago and have remained friends since.
Before any confirmation of what led to Katy's death, Gavin appeared on the Liveline radio programme on Radio One today to spill the beans on how rampant cocaine is and the part it played in Katys life and possibly death. He is now offering himself as the figurehead of a new anti-drugs movement and is willing to reveal the drug dealing antics of all his 'celebrity friends'.
This is the same Gavin Lambe Murphy who was the source of the gossip which led to the case which Paddy O'Gorman took against the Irish Mail on Sunday. He told the paper that O'Gorman had told him that he liked to wear womens tights. It seems this fellow is willing to do anything just to have people talking about him.
People say that there's no such thing as bad publicity but honestly, how can he have any friends left if he's prepared to hang them for a bit of media coverage.

GLM is a grade a tosser alright - you should play back the Joe Duffy show from yesterday to hear how popular he is : )
Just wanted to add my vote to the GLM is a tosser poll, Why isn't there a poll?
@Roy I would but I'd say the result of that poll would be similar to the kind of referendum results that Saddam Hussein used to get: 99% in favour. Nobody would believe that I didn't just make it up!
I hate adding fuel to this topic as GLM is happy with publicity of any kind. However, having met the guy in person at a number of social functions, I have to say he is the most repulsive, disgustiong and superficial individual I have ever met.
What goes around comes around and I hope this guy gets it in spades.
